1990-1997 80 Series Land Cruiser Hydroboost kit

The Hydroboost system increases braking performance over traditional vacuum brake boosters.

The majority of retrofit hydroboost kits on the market use a modified/customized hydroboost from a mystery application to fit your vehicle. As it turns out, virtually all Hydroboost units are functionally identical. The differences in the hundreds of types available relate to mounting, rod sizes and some minor differences in the nitrogen canister. In other words, there is nothing special about these custom modified hydroboost kits besides the price and difficulty sourcing a replacement if needed.

We collected and trial fit hydroboosts from every commonly available application out there with the goal to find one that's well suited to retrofitting without modification. There was a clear winner above all others- The 2005-2010 (at least 2010, newer units are likely to fit, but we must test before making the claim) Ford Superduty Hydroboost is perfect for the 80 series. The rods and mountings at either end are easily adapted. 

This kit installs the 2005+ Superduty Hydroboost to the firewall and brake pedal of all LHD 80 series Land Cruisers. The hydroboost is rotated for maximum clearance. Whether you have a 1FZ, LS V8 or 6.7 Cummins in your Land Cruiser, this will fit. This kit is compatible with the stock 1" bore 80 series master cylinder (stock master works good in our opinion) or the 98+ 1-1/16" bore Tundra Master Cylinder. The Tundra master will make for less sensitivity and pedal travel. 

Firewall and Master adapters are CNC machined from premium 6061 aluminum and finished in Black anodizing for a durable matte finish. Included hardware is OEM strength equivalent zinc plated 10.9 grade. Pushrod to pedal adapter is CNC machined from 4130 steel with 12.9 grade hardware.

NOTE: Does not include hoses. Recommendations for hoses are included in instructions.
